2022-23 GMC Hoops Ratings Index – February 3, 2023

Perth Amboy’s Zamire Booker lays up a bucket in the 3rd quarter against Edison on Tuesday night at Cangelosi Gymnasium. Booker is averaging almost a double-double with 9.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game to help the Panthers claim the No. 12 ranking in the GMC Hoops Ratings Index.

The Ratings Index Makes a Return After a Long Hiatus

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – On Friday, the 2023 GMCT seeding took place for boys basketball, and there were some surprises when the tourney bracket was unveiled.  GMC Hoops decided to put together a ratings index for the first time in about a decade to rate all of the teams in the GMC based on several criteria:

  • Ranking in the GMC Hoops Pre-Season 1 to 33
  • Ranking in the latest GMC Hoops 1 to 33
  • Seed in the Final Draft of the 2023 GMCT Mock Seeding
  • Ranking in the Born Power Index
  • Seed in the Official 2023 GMCT
