GMC Realignment For 2010-11 Has Some Interesting Changes

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ–On Wednesday morning, GMC Hoops learned in more detail the changes that will be taking place next year in boys basketball around the Greater Middlesex Conference. In an article found on the MyCentralJersey.com Inside the Paint blog, five teams currently in the GMC will be changing addresses.

For starters, Colonia, which has won at least a share of ten White Division Championships, will be moving up to the Red Division next season. Meanwhile, neighborhood rival, Woodbridge will be moving down to the White along with Edison. Carteret, which has been in the GMC White since the 2002-03 season, is returning to the Blue Division, where it was once a dominant program. Finally, South River will be moving down to the GMC Gold to join new league members Timothy Christian and Wardlaw in an eight team division. Below is a breakdown off all four divisions for the 2010-11 season:
