Former GMC standouts, Marques Townes (St. Joseph’s/Cardinal McCarrick) and Jehyve Floyd (Sayreville), will be representing Middlesex County this Fourth of July Weekend in the opening round of The Basketball Tournament.

For the 2nd straight year, South River will be taking on Sayreville in the Friends of South Amboy Benefit Showcase. Game is set for 6:00 PM on Saturday night at South Amboy Middle-High School. This contest is one of four games scheduled in the event.
Former St. Joseph’s standout, Tyus Battle, shown here following through on a jumper against East Brunswick in January 2016, is one of 12 former Greater Middlesex Conference standouts now playing professionally. Battle is now playing for the Iowa Wolves, the G-League affiliate of the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves.
