Getting Back To Business

Good evening everyone. It has been a few days since I last updated anything on the site including the blog. Like I said, this year will be more difficult to provide the coverage that I’ve given in the past due to my work schedule. I’ve also had other things come up personally that have hampered my ability to work on the site. Most notably, the issue with my phone.

On December 18, 2008, the phone in my house stopped working after a recent upgrade to Verizon FIOS. After calling Verizon’s support five times, I finally got the phone up and running on Monday morning, January 5, 2008. Special thanks to Gary Fallon, whose son played at St. Joseph’s a few years ago. A word to the wise about those, who plan to get FIOS, be ready for some problems with customer service. The technology is great. I’ve got broadband and TV as well as phone now, but for what I went through, and what others have gone through (just search google, and you’ll see what I’m talking about!), be sure to cover all the bases if and when you decide to get FIOS.

Anyway, my phone is back up and running so if coaches still need to fax over information on their team, they are more than welcome to. GMC Hoops coverage of games will resume on Thursday evening with a trip out to Spotswood High School, where the Chargers will be hosting Middlesex in another key early season game from the GMC Blue Division. Both of these teams are expected to give Ahr a run for its money although the Trojans handled Spotswood on the road just this past Saturday.

Then, on Friday night, the site will be over in East Brunswick to see the Bears take on the Old Bridge Knights in a Red Division tilt. Finally, on Saturday, GMC Hoops will travel over to Piscataway High School after work to watch the rest of the game between the Chiefs and Cardinal McCarrick in a key game involving two teams in the Top Ten.
