BRIDGEWATER, NJ–On Tuesday afternoon, the sixth week of action kicked off at the 2016 Bridgewater Summer League with the Bridgewater Summer League All-Stars taking on St. Benedict’s in the main gym at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
After the All-Stars scored the first three points, St. Benedict’s put together a 12-0 spurt highlighted by a two handed jam at the 14:03 mark for a nine point lead. St. Bennie’s continued to pull away, and actually led by 26 in the second half en route to a 58-34 victory.
East Brunswick’s Jesse Perel played in the game for the Bridgewater Summer League All-Stars. Below are game notes from the action:
First Half

17:30–STB–three pointer ends 4-0 BRA start to half for a 31-21 lead.
14:57–STB–fouled and makes both FTs for an 8-0 run and a 36-21 lead.
12:41–BRALL–three from left wing off steal for a 37-24 STB lead.
12:14–STB–gets kind bounce on three from top of the key for a 40-24 lead.
