SOMERVILLE, NJ–In the first game of the GMC Hoops doubleheader at the 2016 Immaculata Fall League on Sunday, East Brunswick took on Mendham of Morris County at the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference during the 5:00 PM hour. The Bears jumped out to a 13-5 lead by the 8:15 mark of the first half, and eventually led 32-14 after a putback by Dante Ralph with 10:27 remaining in the game.
However, Mendham put together a 14-3 rally down the stretch including layups at the 5:08, 4:06, and 1:28 marks to pull within seven at 35-28. Fortunately for East Brunswick fans, Jesse Perel was able to put the game away by making both ends of the bonus with 1:03 left for a 37-28 lead, and EB went on to win by eight, 37-29.
