Here are highlights from the action in the opening round contest between Manalapan of the Class A North Division of the Shore Conference and Carteret of the GMC Blue Division in the 2014 Matawan Huskies Classic.
Led by the senior tandem of Jaquan Robertson, and Brandon Gilder, Carteret took a 31-28 lead into the fourth quarter, and led by as many as five late, but Kyle Mullen helped Manalpan rally from behind and Scott Scherer made one of two from the line to put the Braves ahead for good with 14.1 seconds left in a 43-42 win.
Gilder led the Ramblers with a game high 17 points while Robertson chipped in with 16. Mullen led Manalapan with 16 points.
