Here are highlights from the action in the 2016 GMCT Girls Championship between 2nd seeded East Brunswick and top seeded Monroe from Kean University’s Harwood Arena. Monroe jumped out to a 15-10 lead in the middle of the second quarter, and led 20-16 at the half before East Brunswick, which outscored Monroe by a 32-16 margin over the last 20 minutes of the game, took over, and pulled away for a 42-31 victory. EB was led by Sabria Glasgow with 14 points. Shanelle Colmon added 9 points all coming in the 2nd half. Sydney Greenspan chipped in with 8 and Nicole Johnson contributed with 7. Monroe’s Ashlyn Petersen finished with 13 points while Grace Martini and Erin Seppi chipped in with 6 each.
