Here are highlights from the action in the 2015 Non-Public A North Championship game between 2nd seeded Pope John XXIII of Sparta and top seeded Seton Hall Prep at the Rutgers Athletic Center.
Trailing 22-21 at the half, the Lions of Pope John rallied behind the play of big man Moustapha Diagne and the athletic Jeromy Rodriguez as well as the shooting of James Scott and Matt Zignorski to pull out a hard fought 52-42 win with a 31-20 surge over the final two periods.
Diagne ended up with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds while Rodriguez chipped in with a double-double of his own with 11 points and 17 boards. Scott chipped in with 11 points while Zignorski added 7 for the winners. Junior guard, T.J. Gibbs led Seton Hall Prep in a losing cause with 11 points.
