Here are highlights from the action in the quarterfinal round playoff contest between third seeded Piscataway and second seeded Newark Westside, both of the West Division, in the 2014 Kean Spring League. After trailing 11-3 with 7:37 left in the first half, Piscataway rallied with an 11-6 run to end the half, and then scored the first six points of the second half for a 20-17 lead. The Chiefs led by as many as 8 points in the second half before the Roughriders rallied with seven unanswered points to pull within one with under a minute to play. P-Way was able to pull out the win though by making three free throws including two from Dashaun Best-Crossen with 14.6 seconds to go for a 41-40 victory, and a semifinal matchup against Newark Central on Monday, May 19th.
