In the nightcap of the Week Two quadrupleheader at the 2016 Linden Fall League, South Brunswick took on Middletown North of the Class A North Division of the Shore Conference. The Lions from Monmouth County jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead, and had all the bounces going their way in the first half as they eventually led 33-13 with 4:41 to go in the second period.
South Brunswick would roar back. Behind the three point shooting of Chris James and Mike Ugarte, the Vikings put together a 22-6 surge over a span of 12:11 to close the gap to 39-35 with 2:30 to play in the third. However, the Vikes were unable to get any closer as Middletown North scored the final three points of the third, and 11 of the first 15 of the fourth to take a 53-39 lead. The Lions then cruised from there to a 65-48 victory.
