GMC Hoops Play-By-Play–Metuchen vs. Bernards–Pepe/Levee Tourney–Consolation–December 29, 2011

SPRINGFIELD, NJ–On Thursday afternoon, GMC Hoops resumed its holiday hoops coverage with a trip up Route 22 East to Jonathan Dayton Regional High School in Springfield to see the Bulldogs in action against Bernards in the consolation game of the 2011 Pepe/Levee Tournament. The Bulldogs fell behind 23-6 by the early part of the second quarter, and couldn’t recover in a 54-38 loss. Metuchen did show some fight with a 20-7 finish though. Below is the play-by-play from the last 25:52 of the contest.

First Quarter

Arrive–1:52 to go in the first quarter–Metuchen just took a time out after Bernards scored for a 15-5 lead.

1:25–BER–Jack Riordan hits a three pointer form the left wing for an 18-5 lead.
1:03–BER–Riordan with a steal for a layup and a 20-5 lead.
