Here is a slideshow of photos from the action in Ocean Township’s victory over Old Bridge in the Championship Game of the 2016 Matawan Huskies Classic.
Following a well executed game plan on both sides of the ball, Ocean Township limited Old Bridge to just two first quarter points, and led 20-13 at the half before the Knights roared back with a 16-8 surge in the third to take a 29-28 lead.
The Spartans would prevail though by scoring 13 of the first 19 points of the final period to take a 41-35 lead with 19.8 seconds remaining. Old Bridge would get a conventional three point play from Rich Calandrino to close the gap to three, but were unable to tie and force overtime as Ocean won, 41-38.
Andrew Seager led Ocean Township with 17 points while Chris Vivian chipped in with 13. Kyle Parris led the Knights in a losing cause with 12 points.
