Aquinas Goes Wire to Wire as Top Ranked Team

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–With the 2021-22 GMC boys basketball season coming to a close, GMC Hoops has put together its final Top Ten rankings for the season. For the second time in the past three years, St. Thomas Aquinas finishes in the top spot. Nine of the teams that finished in the top ten were in the GMC Hoops Pre-Season Top Ten with all top seven teams finishing in the top seven albeit in different order.

  6. Edison (19-9)
  7. South Plainfield (23-7)
  8. Piscataway (11-12)
  9. East Brunswick (11-12)
  10. tie South River (20-8) and J.P. Stevens (13-11)

Other teams considered: Old Bridge (10-15), Sayreville (11-14), Spotswood (16-9), Wardlaw-Hartridge (16-9), Perth Amboy (7-17), Middlesex (12-15), Timothy Christian (14-11), Perth Amboy Tech (15-11), and Metuchen (11-14).
