Sayreville Rolls Past Wall Township; Old Bridge Loses to Point Boro
NEPTUNE, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops traveled down Route 9 and 18 South to the Hoop Group Headquarters to take in Week 7 action from the 2015 HGHQ Fall League. Both Sayreville and Old Bridge were in action. The Knights took on Point Boro, and trailed 40-23 with 12 minutes to go in the game. The Panthers then went on a 12-5 tear to take a 52-28 lead en route to a 23 point win. Rich Calandrino stood tall with a couple threes down the stretch for OBHS. In the 8:00 PM hour, Sayreville rolled past Wall Township thanks in part to the scoring of Mitchell Strandberg and the rebounding and three point shooting of Henny Manutes.
