Late Rally by Monroe Falcons Comes Up Short Against Howell Hurricanes
MORGANVILLE, NJ–On Sunday evening, GMC Hoops traveled down to the Central Jersey Basketball facility in Morganville to take in a contest from the Mid-Jersey Basketball Spring League’s West Division between the Monroe Falcons and the Howell Hurricanes.
In a nip and tuck came that saw neither team have a lead bigger than seven points, Monroe nearly pulled off a comeback to force overtime by scoring 19 of 32 points over a 9:30 span to pull within one at 56-55 with a little over a minute remaining. The Howell Hurricanes managed to hang on by making three free throws down the stretch including two with 1.3 seconds remaining for a four point win.
