Odie Paige Summer League to Return in 2022

New Brunswick Summer League Being Revived After Two Year Hiatus

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Last week, GMC Hoops learned from New Brunswick boys basketball head coach, Antoine Allen, that the Odie Page Summer League will be returning this year after a two year hiatus.  Originally started back in 2017, the Odie Page Summer League didn’t take place in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID pandemic.

This year’s league is scheduled to begin on June 27th, and will run until August 4th.  Each team will play 12 games.  All games will take place at New Brunswick High School.  Games will be played either on Monday and Wednesday nights, or Tuesday and Thursday nights.  Game times will be 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 PM.  Jerseys will be provided for each team.

The last summer that the league took place in 2019, New Brunswick won the Championship with a victory over the New Jersey Bulldogs.  Teams that have played in the league previously included:  New Brunswick, Piscataway, St. Thomas Aquinas, Elizabeth, South Brunswick, Monroe, Spotswood, and the New Jersey Bulldogs.

GMC Hoops covered the league in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and plans to cover the league once again this summer.  For more information about this league, please contact Antoine Allen via phone at (908)-531-2058, or by e-mail at antoine_allen@nbspnj.net.
