South Amboy Surges in 2nd Half to Defeat Koinonia, 48-26
SOUTH AMBOY, NJ–On Friday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to South Amboy Middle/High School to see action from the 2015 Raritan Bay Summer League. In the nightcap of the GMC Hoops doubleheader at Raritan Bay, the South Amboy Guvs took on the Seraphs of Koinonia Academy. After a bit of a back and forth battle for much of the first half, South Amboy pulled away from a 17-13 lead at the 4:26 mark with a 31-13 surge the rest of the way for a 48-26 victory. Led by Kehare Ford, the Governors limited Koinonia to two field goals over the last 19:50 of the contest and outscored the Seraphs by a margin of 21-7 in the second half for the win.
