Trojans to Play St. Joseph’s by the Sea of Staten Island in Holiday Tourney at Wildwood
WILDWOOD, NJ–On Sunday, GMC Hoops learned that the St. Thomas Aquinas boys basketball team will be playing in the Boardwalk Basketball Classic at the Wildwoods Convention Center. The Trojans will be taking on St. Joseph’s by the Sea of Staten Island in the George Holden Memorial Showcase at 1:30 PM on Monday.
Aquinas was originally supposed to play in the 2021 Joe Silver Holiday Tournament at Hillside High School, but that tourney was cancelled. The Trojans then got themselves into this prestigious South Jersey Holiday Tournament. Games are scheduled to be played from December 27th to December 31st.
The Trojans are also slated to play St. Peter’s Prep in the 2022 New Year’s Jump-Off at Hackensack High School on Sunday, January 2nd at 5:30 PM. St. Thomas Aquinas, the current No. 1 in the latest GMC Hoops Top Ten, has played the most games of any school in the GMC with a 4-0 record including a 64-57 victory over No. 2 St. Joseph’s at the 2021 Friends of South Amboy Charity Basketball Games showcase on December 18th,
