Barrons Representing GMC in Annual Showcase Again at Central Regional in Bayville
BAYVILLE, NJ—On Tuesday, GMC Hoops learned from Central Regional High School Boys Basketball head coach, Mike Clemente that the 2020 Coaches vs. Cancer Shootout will take place at Central Regional High School on January 18th, and will have 5 games during the course of the day starting at 11:00 AM in the morning, and finishing up with the nightcap game at 5:00 PM. This is the fourth annual Jimmy V Showcase at Central Regional.
There are a total of 4 conferences that are represented in this year’s shootout including:
- Cape-Atlantic League (St. Joseph’s of Hammonton)
- Greater Middlesex Conference (Woodbridge)
- Olympic Conference (Eastern)
- Shore Conference (CBA, Central Regional, Donovan Catholic, Freehold Township, Mater Dei, Toms River North, and Wall Township)
Woodbridge, which competed in this event over the past three seasons as well as the Coaches vs. Cancer Shootout at Montgomery and the Eric LeGrand Classic, will represent the GMC in the event with the Barrons playing Freehold Township at 12:30 PM. Below is the full schedule of games for the day:

- Eastern vs. Donovan Catholic, 11:00 PM
- Freehold Township vs. Woodbridge, 12:30 PM
- CBA vs. Mater Dei Prep, 2:00 PM
- St. Joseph’s Hammonton vs. Central Regional, 3:30 PM
- Wall vs. Toms River North, 5:00 PM
