The 12th annual Friends of South Amboy Games are scheduled for December 21st at South Amboy Middle-High School. Three top GMC Teams: Sayreville, St. Joseph’s, and St. Thomas Aquinas will be playing in the showcase. GMC Hoops takes a look at the 12-year history of the FOSA games.
A GMC Hoops History of the FOSA games since its inception
SOUTH AMBOY, NJ – On December 21st, the 12th annual Friends of South Amboy (FOSA) Showcase will take place at South Amboy Middle-High School. The event will have five games on the schedule. Included will be back-to-back contests involving three of the top teams in the GMC: Sayreville, St. Joseph’s, and St. Thomas Aquinas.
The showcase began modestly in 2012 as the residents of South Amboy came together to support those affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. Since then, it has grown to be one of the biggest high school hoops events in Central Jersey and the entire Garden State. Here is a history of the games played at FOSA since 2012. NOTE: There were no games in 2020 due to COVID.
