For the 15th time since 1960, a Middlesex County boys basketball player averaged 30 points per game for an entire season. South River’s Alex Grospe became the first Middlesex County boys hoops player to average 30 points per game for an entire season for two straight years since Perth Amboy’s Brian Taylor achieved the feat in 1967-68 and 1968-69. Grospe is also the first Greater Middlesex Conference boys basketball player to average 30 points per game for an entire season since Jermaine Clark in 2004-05.
