The Metuchen Bulldogs boys basketball program has a rich history in Middlesex County. The Bulldogs won MCT and GMCT titles in 1971 and 1988 while also making a finals appearance in 2006. In addition, Metuchen has won sectional titles in 1972 and 1988. Metuchen has had seven 20-win seasons in its history, including its most recent in 2025-26. The Bulldogs won 20 games for the second straight year.
