Opening in the mid-1970s, the Monroe Falcons didn’t have any 20-win seasons until the 2005-06 campaign. Under first-year head coach Bob Turco and all-time leading scorer, A.J. Rudowitz, the Purple City Bird Gang had the season of seasons. The Falcons ended up with the most wins in school history, a share of the GMC White Division title, a GMCT Final Four berth, and a sectional finals appearance.
The 2005-06 season was the first of three 20-win seasons for Turco and Monroe. The Falcons enjoyed back-to-back 20-win campaigns in 2008-09 and 2009-10. Both times, Monroe appeared in the GMCT Semifinals including a GMCT Championship Game appearance in 2010, and an outright GMC White crown in 2010. Jeff Warner guided Monroe to its last 20-win season in 2021-22.
