Like fellow public schools, Carteret and Perth Amboy, New Brunswick High School has a long tradition of excellence in Middlesex County Boys Basketball. The Zebras have won at least 20 games thirteen times since 1956-57. New Brunswick also won numerous titles in Central Jersey Group I and Group 2 under the leadership of head coach, Odie Paige.
