Since its opening in 1957, Piscataway has become one of the elite public school boys basketball programs in Middlesex County. The Chiefs won the Central Jersey Group 2 Championship in 1963 and eventually moved up to Group 4. P-Way now competes in the GMC Red Division as well as North Jersey Section 2 Group 4. Piscataway has compiled eleven 20-win seasons including the 2024-25 campaign.
