Local Youngster Afflicted with Rare Disease Gets Gift From Governors’ Boys and Girls Teams at 2025 FOSA Games

SOUTH AMBOY, NJ – During halftime of the girls basketball game between South Amboy and New Brunswick at the 2025 FOSA Games, the Friends of South Amboy, as well as members of South Amboy’s boys and girls basketball teams, presented two-year-old Jack Drury with an autographed basketball by all the players.

Drury suffers from a rare disease known as infantile neuro-axonal dystrophy or “INAD” which attacks muscle function and cognitive skills, according to a News12 Jersey story from August 22, 2025.

The family has launched a website and Facebook page called, Jack’s MIracle Mission, which is looking to raise $2 million to help 10 families with gene therapy for their children.
