
Since opening in the 1956-57 school year, the South Plainfield Tigers have managed to win 20 games multiple times under three different coaches. The school’s first head coach, Anthony Cotoia collected four 20-win seasons including the 1963-64 campaign, which produced the Tigers’ only state championship. Jeff Lubreski had three such seasons including the best in school history in 2003-04. Current head coach, John Greco has collected three 20-win seasons in the last four years.
