SOUTH AMBOY, NJ—On Wednesday morning, GMC Hoops received word from Raritan Bay Summer League co-director, Tom Reilly that the league will run again this summer, and is looking for teams.

The league, which has been covered by GMC Hoops since 2004, is scheduled to begin play on June 10th at the air conditioned South Amboy Middle-High School in South Amboy.

This summer league, which caters to many age groups, and has been the place where GMC Hoops has first seen the likes of Brandon Hall, Mark Simko, Larry Lenahan, Steve Poltrictzky, Kevin Usenski, Ron Lordi, Jake Dadika, Dillon Salva, Timmy Brix, Danny Brix, Ryan Genevieve, and Victor Sorrento will have several divisions including 5th and 6th Grade all the way up to 12th Grade.

The Raritan Bay Summer League, which has been run jointly by Reilly and former South Amboy High School standout, and 1,000 point scorer, Gary Lange, is one of the most fun leagues to cover for GMC Hoops. Reilly and Lange are great hosts, treat us well, and always give great info and hospitality. Let’s also not forget that the league is also the home of the world famous Lange Dogs.
