GMC Hoops Highlights–December 26, 2015–Academy of Urban Leadership vs. South Plainfield–Cotoia Tourney

Here are highlights from the action in the opening round contest in the 2015 Anthony J. Cotoia Tourney between the Academy of Urban Leadership from Perth Amboy and South Plainfield. Trailing 13-9 after one period, South Plainfield, got two three point plays from Isaiah Norman to spark a 28-14 second period surge and take a 37-27 lead at the half. The Tigers continued to pour it on in the second half with a 44-30 showing to come away with the 81-57 victory.

Lamont Williams led SPHS with 21 points along with 6 steals while teammate Jason Lee chipped in with 15 and Norman added 12 including 10 in the second period. Will McLaughlin contributed with 10 points while Deshai Smith gave a lift off the bench for the Tigers as well with 6 points and 7 rebounds. Shaquan Fullwood led all scorers with a game high 24 points including 6 threes while teammate Jaziel Montanez chipped in with 16 including for treys for AUL.
