GMC Hoops Highlights–March 9, 2016–Bordentown vs. Camden–Group 2 State Semifinal

Here are highlights from the action in the 2016 NJSIAA Group 2 State Semifinal between Central Jersey Champion, Bordentown and South Jersey Champion, Camden. For the third straight year, Camden, a.k.a, The High, will play for the Group 2 State Championship after defeating Bordentown by a score of 77-63 in the state semifinal at Perth Amboy. The Panthers trailed 32-30 late in the first half before scoring the final 8 points of the half, and the first bucket of the second half for a 40-32 lead.

Bordentown got a three pointer to draw within five again at 40-35, but the Scotties would get no closer though as Camden pulled away to eventually lead 67-50 before Bordentown close out the game on a 13-10 run. Jamal Holloway led the way for the Panthers with 25 points while teammate Myles Thompson added 22 and Brad Hawkins and Cory Greer chipped in with 13 and 11 points respectively. Myron Gordon led Bordentown in a losing cause with a game high 25 points while Darnill Brown chipped in with 19.
