RAHWAY, NJ–In the second game of the playoff tripleheader at the Rahway Summer League, J.P. Stevens battled Sayreville in a rematch from a game earlier this summer, where the Bombers rallied from a huge first half deficit to defeat the Hawks going away. This time, fortunes were reversed for the two teams as Sayreville jumped out to a 10-0 lead only to be outscored 50-27 over the last 33:30 of the contest. Stevens, led by Mike Lionikis and Mike Katims stormed back to take a 27-20 lead at the half, and never let the Bombers get closer than 6 points the rest of the way in a 50-37 victory.
