LINDEN, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops traveled up to the Linden Multi-Purpose Recreation Center to take in some action from the 2015 Linden Fall League. South Brunswick was in action against Rutgers Prep of Somerset in the 7:00 PM game. After a sluggish first 10 minutes or so of action, both teams picked it up over the last several minutes of the first half as Rutgers Prep went on a 13-8 run to take a 27-17 lead late in the second quarter. Eric Savage then hit a jumper to end the first half scoring, and the Vikings scored 7 of the first 10 points of the second half to close to within four at 30-26, but couldn’t get any closer in a 47-38 loss. Second Quarter

0:00–RP–blocks shot and tries to score in transition, but lose the ball out of bounds. Still leads 33-26.

6:30–RP opens fourth on a 5-0 run including a follow off a missed ft and a layup from the right low block for a 38-26 lead.
5:51–SB–Savage drives in for basket and foul. RP leads 38-29.
3:01–SB–Ugarte fouled and makes both FTs for a 40-31 RP lead.
2:09–SB–Ugarte fouled and makes 1 of 2 FTs for a 40-32 RP lead.
56.4–RP–timeout–leads 44-36.
30.1–SB–Ugarte fouled and makes both FTs for 45-38 RP lead.
