In the finale of the GMC Hoops quadrupleheader at the Summer Primetime Shootout, South Brunswick took on Marist of Bayonne. After losing three close games by a total of 10 points, the Vikings fell behind early, and couldn’t quite recover against Marist.
The Royal Knights scored the first seven points of the game in just 1:17, and led 15-5 at one point early in the first half. South Brunswick rallied back with a 12-3 spurt to pull within one, but was never able to take the lead as Marist pulled away for a 63-42 victory. South Brunswick finished 0-4 over the two days it played at the Summer Primetime Shootout.
