Here are highlights from the action in Woodbridge’s win over Rutgers Prep in the opening round of the 2016 Linden Summer League playoffs at Linden High School.
In the third game of the opening round quadrupleheader at the 2016 Linden Summer League Playoffs on Monday, Woodbridge took on Rutgers Prep. The Argonauts broke away from a 5-5 first quarter tie with an 11-2 tear to end the period for a 16-7 lead.
Rutgers Prep then opened the second on a 10-6 spurt for a 26-13 lead with 1:16 remaining in the first half before Woodbridge battled back. The Barrons turned the game around with a 41-20 surge over a span of 19:55 to take a 54-46 lead with a little less than a minute and a half remaining, and went on to win 56-48.
Woodbridge, which didn’t win a regular season game playing in the Tuesday-Thursday Division of the Linden Summer League, was led by the efforts of Harry Rutkowski, Quran Robinson, and Hura Blaine in the win. Kemari Persol also contributed.
