Here are highlights from the last 21 minutes of action in the 2015 NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 4 Quarterfinals between 11th seeded North Brunswick and 3rd seeded Colts Neck at Colts Neck High School.
After defeating then 6th seeded South Brunswick for the third time in the 2014-15 season in the opening round of the CJ Group 4 playoffs, North Brunswick found itself entangled in a battle with Colts Neck of the Shore Conference.
Tom O’Reilly led the Cougars to a hard fought, 66-63 victory with 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Mike Lamb added 10 points, 5 blocks, and 4 boards. Kyle Gordon had 12 points and 6 rebounds while Lloyd Daniels chipped in with 11 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds.
Chris O’Reilly rounded out the five Colts Neck players scoring in double figures with 10 points and 4 assists. The Cougars had 9 blocked shots in the contest. L.J. Williams led all scorers with a game high 26 points while Pranay Bhandare added 11 points for North Brunswick.
Kishan Patel and Joe Castellanos each chipped in 8 points. The Raiders had 8 different players score in the contest while Colts Neck only had 6 different players get on the board. The Cougars were defeated in the semifinals by 2nd seeded Freehold Township, but then the Patriots fell to 13th seeded Hillsborough in the Championship.
