The Minutemen jumped out to a 15-12 lead midway through the second period, and finished the first half on a 7-2 run for a 23-16 advantage. EB eventually fell behind by 11 on a couple of occasions in the second half including the 5:54 mark of the fourth quarter when EHS netted a three by J.R. Nazario from the left corner for a 38-27 lead.
From that point on, however, East Brunswick took charge by finishing regulation with a 13-2 tear to force overtime, and then outscored the Union County power by a margin of 8-5 in the extra session for a 48-45 victory. Matt Ross led the Bears with 13 points while Addis Ralph chipped in with 12 including 11 over a span of 7:48 bridging the end of regulation to the time he fouled out of the game with 1:06 remaining in overtime. Josh Gordon led all scorers with a game high 17 points while Nazario chipped in with 16 including two threes.
