Special Note To All GMC Hoops Fans

Good morning everyone. Well, thankfully, Irene is now gone, but I am well into recovery mode. Actually, well into evacuation mode. The flooding from my neighborhood was the worst ever in the wake of Irene.

We had over five inches of rain here in South Plainfield, but couple that with the 10 inches of rainfall already prior to the storm from recent August rains and the surge that flowed in from Raritan Bay, and you had record flooding in my spots throughout Jersey.

With the water levels rising on Sunday morning, my family decided to shut off the gas and electricity, and evacuate. We are currently staying in a hotel in the area. I am making regular updates to the blog at hurricaneville.com. You can follow information on the storm from there, or via the twitter and facebook pages for Hurricaneville.

I don’t know when I will be back in town at the house. Hopefully, soon. Until then, I will try to make more updates in the blog periodically. Stay safe.
