Last Thursday, I traveled to Sayreville to take in the first football game of the season for GMC Hoops. The site saw the Bombers take on Piscataway in what turned out to be a classic defensive struggle. The winner of this game has usually gone on to win at least a share of the Red Division crown for the past eight seasons. Sayreville ended up winning over the Chiefs, 14-7 to improve to 2-0 on the season. Below are the first quarter highlights.
