Here are highlights from first half action of 21st seeded Edison’s win over 28th seeded Highland Park in the 2016 GMCT Play-In round. The Owls of Highland Park jumped out to a 6-2 lead before Edison scored 13 of the last 14 points of the first period, and got the first basket of the second to take a 17-7 lead. The Eagles then scored 12 of the last 20 points of the second half for a 29-15 halftime lead, and then outscored the Owls by a 25-11 margin in the second half for a 54-26 win to advance to the Preliminary Round of Tuesday against 12th seeded Piscataway. John Zanfordino led the Eagles with a game high 18 points including 12 in the first half while teammate and sophomore Haaziq Daniels added 14. Naeem Ghee led Highland Park with 9 in defeat.
