Here are highlights from the action in 23rd seeded South Amboy’s win over 26th seeded Wardlaw-Hartridge in the 2016 GMCT Play-In Round in South Amboy. The Guvs jumped out to a 5-2 lead, and after Wardlaw got a bucket to pull within one, they scored 7 of the last 9 points of the first including a layup by Julian Munoz just before the buzzer for a 12-6 lead. South Amboy increased that edge to 20-13 at the half, and then scored 8 of the first 10 points of the second half for a 33-15 lead. Wardlaw finished the game on a 22-13 surge to lose by only single digits, 46-37. South Amboy senior guard, Keahre Ford, had a game high 21 points while forward Alan Kazar chipped in with 9. Wardlaw was led by both Garrett Racz and Scott Hargrove with 13. South Amboy advances to play 10th seeded J.P. Stevens in the Preliminary Round on Tuesday in North Edison.
