Here are highlights from the action in Carteret’s victory over South Plainfield in a GMC Blue Division Clash on the first Monday of the 2016-17 GMC boys basketball season.

Dylan O’Connor (12 points) did his best to try and get South Plainfield back into the contest with three second half treys, but it wasn’t enough as Carteret outscored the Tigers by a margin of 19-17 the rest of the way for a 60-35 victory.

Kahir Raymond led Carteret with 13 points while Isaiah Daniels-Porter chipped in with 12. Carteret, which opened the season with a 77-62 victory over Spotswood, improved to 2-0 on the young season while South Plainfield, a winner in overtime over Middlesex (69-60) on opening night, dropped to 1-1.
