Here are highlights from the 2nd half of action in the contest between Sayreville and Westfield at the 2013 Len Sepanak Tournament at Ridge High School in Basking Ridge on Monday night. The Bombers withstood a late first half flurry by the Blue Devils with a strong 17-8 start to the third for a 45-31 lead. After that, Westfield was unable to get any closer than 10 points the rest of the way as Sayreville went on to win, 68-52. Mike Valentin keyed the run with a three pointer and a conventional three point play while Rob Seraji added a trey, and Corey Taite and Malik Pressley also added scores as well. Taite earned All Tournament honors with 20 points while Seraji and Pressley chipped in with 14 points each. Sayreville outscored Westfield by a 24-9 margin in points scored from beyond the arc.
