Here are highlights from Perth Amboy’s 57-25 rout of A.L. Johnson on the only day of action in the first week of July 2014 at the Rahway Summer League. The Crusaders of Johnson jumped out to a 6-0 lead, but Perth Amboy closed the half with a 28-4 surge over the last 15:15 to take a 28-10 lead at the half. The Panthers poured it on from there thanks to the combination of good perimeter shooting, interior play of Nate Melendez, and a pressing defense to lead by as many as 37 before winning the contest by 32 points.
