GMC Teams Perform Well At Summer Prime Time Shootout

ALLENTOWN, NJ–Over the three days at the 2011 Summer Prime Time Shootout, the three teams from the Greater Middlesex Conference performed fairly well. Combined the three squads of East Brunswick, Piscataway, and St. Joseph’s were 7-5 overall including a 5-1 mark on the second day of action.

P-Way was one of the three teams that were undefeated in the event at (4-0). The other two unbeaten teams were Plainfield and St. Patrick’s. East Brunswick split its four games by losing the first two on Friday, and winning the last two on Saturday. St. Joseph’s played a very tough schedule that included the likes of Plainfield, St. Patrick’s, and St. Benedict’s, and finished up 1-3. The three GMC teams were 0-2 on Friday, 5-1 on Saturday, and 2-2 on Sunday.

Breaking down the wins and losses by opposing conferences, the GMC was 1-0 against the Colonial Valley Conference, Shore Conference, Suburban One Conference (PA), and the Shoreline Conference (CT). The league went 2-1 against the Olympic Conference, 1-1 versus the Burlington County Scholastic League, 0-1 versus Independents, and 0-2 against the Union County Conference.
