Vikings Win Second Straight, And Fourth In The Last Five With Victory Over Bears, 55-42

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ–Plagued with foul trouble for much of the first half and only seeing three minutes of action, Arman Wilson still managed to step it up big time for the Vikings with 18 points in a 55-42 victory over the East Brunswick Bears at EBHS. Jordan Teicher also helped with a key contribution in the first half after Wilson was on the bench by scoring 8 in the first quarter, and finished with 14 in the game as well as 11 boards. With a 19-19 score at the break, South Brunswick came out wild running all over the place and as a result, turned in a big 16 point quarter, in which 10 came from Wilson.

Playing at East Brunswick High School, SBHS was exposed to a unique experience courtesy of EB’s award winning student section known as “The Bear’s Den.” However, it really didn’t bother South Brunswick, since the Vikes brought a good amount of students with them to the game as well. In the end, South Brunswick played a totally different half scoring 36 second half points, and outscored the home team by 13 for the win. A key point in the fourth quarter was when East Brunswick’s senior swingman, Mike Mello, picked up a technical foul that gave SB free points. Mello ended up leading EB with 11 points and 7 rebounds. South Brunswick will try to make it 5 out of 6 victories when they host Edison on Thursday Night.
