WASHINGTON, NJ–Junior swingman Joey Castro scored 16 of his team leading 18 points in the first half. Amboy Tech broke the game open in the 2nd quarter as Sophomore Anthony Vidal (7), Junior Kurt Grothusen (6), and Castro (5) outscored the Knight team.
Vidal finished with 16 points, 4 assists, 6 steals and 4 deflections. Anthony Rodriguez tallied 12 points 8 boards 2 assists and 2 steals. Grothusen totaled 11 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. Junior point guard Alex Sanz dished out 6 assists, grabbed 4 rebounds, and 2 steals for the Patriots.
Christian Hoefly scored 24 points for Warren Tech. With the victory, Amboy Tech won six of its last eight to improve to 7-4 overall, and 3-1 against non-conference competition. Meanwhile, the Knights of Warren Tech fall to 3-8.
