SOUTH AMBOY, NJ-While GMC Hoops was in Neptune on Monday night to check out the sixth week of action in the 2008 Rebounds Spring League, there was still a full slate of games on the docket in the 2008 Raritan Bay Summer League at the always air conditioned South Amboy Middle/High School. Thanks to Tom Reilly, one of the organizers of the league, I was able to get the results of the four contests played.
In the 5:30 PM game, South Amboy defeated Monroe by a score of 37-25 in a contest from the 5th and 6th Grade Division. Following that, in another contest from the same division, Team CJEOTO routed the Scarlet Nets in the 6:30 PM game. Then, in the 3rd and 4th Grade Division, Colts Neck edged Monroe, 31-30 to stay undefeated. Finally, in the nightcap, Parlin rolled past nearby rival, St. Stan’s of Sayreville, 52-25 in action from the 7th and 8th Grade Division.
