EDISON, NJ–On Thursday, the second night of action took place at the 2008 Middlesex County College Summer League over at MCC in Edison. There was a full slate of games played at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM including several involving teams from the Greater Middlesex Conference. As in past years, this summer league runs on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Below are the results from Thursday:

- South Amboy 48–Bishop Ahr 46
- Highland Park 35–Timothy Christian II 24
- North Brunswick 48–Sayreville 26
- South River 44–East Brunswick 37
- Franklin 43–South Brunswick 29
- South Hunterdon 64–Somerset Vo-Tech 44
So far, Franklin, which went undefeated during the regular season last summer, is off to a flying start at 2-0, but North Brunswick, Highland Park, and Perth Amboy Tech are tied with the Warriors for first place. Keyport is 1-0, and had a bye. Action will resume again with the start of the second week of play on Tuesday, and GMC Hoops plans to be there to catch some of it.
