Middlesex County College Summer League–June 19, 2008

EDISON, NJ–On Thursday, the second night of action took place at the 2008 Middlesex County College Summer League over at MCC in Edison. There was a full slate of games played at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM including several involving teams from the Greater Middlesex Conference. As in past years, this summer league runs on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Below are the results from Thursday:

  • Perth Amboy Tech 54–Timothy Christian I 37
  • South Amboy 48–Bishop Ahr 46
  • Highland Park 35–Timothy Christian II 24
  • North Brunswick 48–Sayreville 26
  • South River 44–East Brunswick 37
  • Franklin 43–South Brunswick 29
  • South Hunterdon 64–Somerset Vo-Tech 44

So far, Franklin, which went undefeated during the regular season last summer, is off to a flying start at 2-0, but North Brunswick, Highland Park, and Perth Amboy Tech are tied with the Warriors for first place. Keyport is 1-0, and had a bye. Action will resume again with the start of the second week of play on Tuesday, and GMC Hoops plans to be there to catch some of it.
