COLONIA, NJ–On Wednesday evening, GMC Hoops managed to get out to Colonia Middle School to take in a sampling of some of the action in the 2008 Colonia JV League for this first time this summer. The site was treated to a really fine game between Cardinal McCarrick II and Colonia II, which McCarrick II won in overtime thanks in part to the heroics of Mike Lewis, the son of Eagles varsity head coach, Joe Lewis. Brian O’Lone, the JV and assistant basketball coach at Colonia provided the results of all the games. We’ll have an article on the McCarrick II–Colonia II battle later.
